How do I create a free account on Toromont Equip?

To create an account, go to the Toromont Equip sign-in page and complete the form. After creating your account, you will receive a confirmation email. You must click the link in the email to activate your account. Once your account is active, you can use shopping tools such as notifications, compare machines, create a favourites list and buy online!

How do I access shopping tools and buy online?

You must be signed in to your account to use most shopping tools and complete an online transaction. Create your free Toromont Equip account today here.
Do you already have an account with Toromont Connect or Toromont Hub? If so, easily log in to Toromont Equip  using the same email and password credentials.

What can I do with my free account?

With your free account on, you can:

  • Shop the real-time inventory of used equipment from Toromont Cat, Battlefield Equipment Rental and Toromont Material Handling.
  • Add items of interest to a watch list or sign up for notifications at a frequency that is convenient for you!
  • Save searches and get notifications when new items are available.
  • Compare equipment listings.
  • Share a listing with someone or print a PDF.
  • View and make changes to your personal information/preferences.
  • View order history and current purchases.
  • Buy equipment online using your credit card as payment (a deposit of $500 per equipment is required to complete a transaction).

How can I know what condition equipment is in? 

All equipment listed on the website has been inspected and had their fluids checked. You can see information on the condition of the equipment in the detailed description of the item and, for most equipment, you can also consult the full inspection report.


How do I buy?

Most used equipment available on can be bought online and our marketplace is open to everyone, business or person. To ensure you secure the equipment you want, begin the purchase process by clicking the Buy it now button and follow the instructions. You will need to pay a $500 deposit by credit card. A transaction can only be completed for one equipment item at a time, with each item requiring a $500 deposit. The deposit secures your equipment for three business days while you settle the outstanding balance via wire transfer with the assistance of a Toromont Equip representative, who will accompany you through the sales process. The shipping of equipment is arranged by the customer. If pickup is your choice, equipment must be picked up within 10 business days as the seller may, at its discretion, assess storage fees. 

How do I look for equipment?

You can use the search function on top of the page using keywords, equipment types, makes, models number and other criteria. You can also browse by industry (e.g., Construction, Mining, Power, etc.) and drill down to specific types, makes and models. You can also filter by location, make, model, year, seller and other criteria. Start your search here!

Can I go see the equipment?

Yes, equipment is available for in-person inspections at the branch identified. Arrangements should be made with the site after confirming its hours of operation. Viewing is only available on equipment that has been delivered to the site (check each individual item's listing on our website, and under the "Features and description" tab, look for "In Yard – Yes/No."


Can you finance my purchase?

We offer financing options for some equipment, but not all. See some of our financing solutions here and talk to a representative to know what is offered for the equipment you are interested in.


What do I need to do after I pay my deposit?

Once your deposit has been processed successfully, you will receive a confirmation by email, instructions on the next steps and a copy of Toromont’s Terms and Conditions. The outstanding balance must be paid within three business days and equipment picked up within 10 days, the seller may, at its discretion, assess storage fees. A representative will be assigned to you to help you complete the transaction and make the necessary arrangements.

Can I cancel my purchase?

Yes, within three business days of paying your deposit. See specific details in Toromont’s Terms and Conditions.

Is my deposit refundable?

Yes, your deposit is refundable up to the close of business on the third business day following the payment of the deposit. To request a refund, submit your request to with your Order Confirmation Number. A Toromont Equip representative will contact you to finalize the refund as per the terms of the General Sales and Service Agreement available at checkout.

What if I want to buy more than one item?

Currently, you can only complete an online transaction for one equipment item at a time. You can ask your assigned representative if you need to add service, accessories or other equipment to your invoice.

How do I pay the outstanding balance of an item?

The outstanding balance is paid via wire transfer. Instructions are provided by email following the payment of the deposit to secure the equipment.

Do you charge taxes on my purchases?

Yes, applicable sales taxes are added to your purchase price and invoice based on the location of the equipment.

How long do I have to make a payment?

Following the payment of the deposit, the outstanding balance must be received within three business days. 

How would I know when you receive the payment?

Once the funds have been received via wire transfer, a confirmation of payment will be sent to you. This is when shipping/pickup arrangements should be made. Your online account will display an updated copy of the paid invoice.


How and where can I pick up my item?

The buyer is responsible for equipment shipping/pickup arrangements from/at the advertised branch once the purchased item is paid in full. An invoice will be provided to you when payment is received, so please keep a copy of your paid invoice. This invoice copy must be presented before the loading and/or removal of any equipment. Equipment must be picked up within 10 business days as the seller may, at its discretion, assess storage fees.

If I cannot pick up my equipment, can I send somebody else?

If you are arranging for a third party to collect your purchases, please provide the person with all necessary information and have him or her schedule the pickup appointment at a convenient time.


Is there a warranty on used equipment?

Not all equipment comes with a warranty. Examine the detailed listing of the equipment to see if a warranty is offered. For example, equipment that is Cat Certified Used comes with a one-year warranty. 

An additional warranty may also be offered at an additional cost. Talk to your representative.

What is the refund/return policy?

All sales are final once your final payment is processed.

Am I able to export my item(s), and what documentation do you provide?

Most equipment can be exported but is subject to the import regulations of the destination country. We recommend that you contact a Toromont Equip representative at 1-833-953-7847 for information on shipping assets across borders, continents and oceans, quickly and efficiently. 
Toromont will provide the Paid in Full invoice to facilitate shipping (in the U.S., we can also provide a letter for U.S. Customs stating that the item is free and clear, and not stolen). If you are seeking a tax exemption for export, you will need to ensure that you hire a third-party licenced common carrier that can provide a valid Bill of Lading.
