How do I create a free account on Toromont Equip?

To create an account, go to the ToromontEquip sign in page and complete the form. After creating your account, you will receive a confirmation email – you must click the link in the email to activate your account. Once your account is active, you can use shopping tools like notifications, compare machines, create a favourite list and buy online! 

If you already have a Toromont Connect or Toromont Hub account? Easily login to ToromontEquip  using the same  email & password credentials. 

Shopping for business or personal? You can create multiple accounts. Be sure to set up your account with the information to be displayed on an invoice (e.g. your personal name and email address or business and email address). 

How do I access shopping tools and buy online?

You must be signed in to your account to use most shopping tools and complete an online transaction. Create your free ToromontEquip account today here.

What can I do with my free account?

With your free account on toromontequip.com you can

  • Shop the real-time inventory of used equipment from Toromont Cat, Battlefield Equipment Rental and Toromont Material Handling
  • Add items of interest to a watch list or sign-up for notifications at a frequency that is convenient to you!
  • Save searches and get notifications when new items are available
  • Compare equipment listings
  • Share a listing with someone
  • View and make changes to your personal information/preferences
  • View order history and current purchases
  • Buy equipment online using your credit card as payment (a deposit of $500 per equipment is required to complete a transaction).

How can I know what condition equipment is in? 

All equipment listed on toromontEquip.com website has been inspected and have had their fluids checked. You can see information on the conditions of the equipment in the detailed description of the item and, for most equipment, you can also consult the full inspection report.

ONLINE PURCHASES

How do I buy?

Most used equipment available on toromontequip.com can be bought online and our marketplace is open to everyone, business or person. 

To ensure you secure the equipment you want, begin the purchase process by clicking the Buy it now button and follow the instructions, you will need to pay a $500 deposit via credit card. A transaction can only be completed for one equipment at a time and a $500 deposit is required for each equipment. The deposit secures your equipment for 3 business days while you settle the outstanding balance via wire transfer with the assistance a ToromontEquip representative who will accompany you through the sales process. Shipping of equipment is arranged by the customer. If pick up is your choice, equipment must be picked up within 10 business days as Toromont may, at its discretion, assess storage fees.

How do I look for equipment?

You can use the search function on top of the page using keywords, equipment types, makes, models and other criteria. You can also browse by industry (e.g., Construction, Mining, Power etc.), drill down to specific types, makes and models. You can also filter by location, make, model, year, and other criteria. Start your search here!

Can I go see the equipment?

Yes, equipment is available for in-person inspections at the branch identified. Arrangements should be made with the site to and to confirm hours of operation. Viewing is only available on equipment that has been delivered to the site (check each individual item's listing on our website, and under the "Detailed equipment information" tab, look for "In Yard – Yes/No".

Can you finance my purchase?

We offer financing options for some equipment but not all. See some of our financing solutions here and talk to a representative to know what is offered for the equipment you are interested in.

PAYMENTS AND DEPOSITS

What do I need to do after I pay my deposit?

Once your deposit has been processed successfully, you will receive a confirmation by email, instructions on the next steps and a copy of our Toromont’s Terms & Conditions. The outstanding balance must be paid within 3 business days and equipment pickup within 10 days, as Toromont may, at its discretion, assess storage fees. A representative will be assigned to you to help you complete the transaction and make the necessary arrangements.

Can I cancel my purchase?

Yes, within the 3 days of paying your deposit. See specific details in the Toromont’s Terms & Conditions.

Is my deposit refundable?

Yes, deposit is refundable up to the close of business on the third business day following the payment of the deposit. To request a refund, submit your request to tequip@toromont.com with your Order Confirmation Number, a Toromont Equip representative will contact you to finalize the refund as per the terms of the General Sale & Service Agreement available at Check Out.

What if I want to buy more than one item?

At this time, you can only complete an online transaction for one equipment at a time. You can ask your assigned representative if you need to add service, accessories or other equipment to your invoice.

How do I pay the outstanding balance of an item?

The outstanding balance is paid via wire transfer, instructions are provided via email following the payment of the deposit to secure equipment.

Do you charge taxes on my purchases?

Yes, applicable sales taxes are added to your purchase price and invoice based on the location of the equipment.

How long do I have to make a payment?

Following the payment of the deposit, the outstanding balance must be received within 3 business days. 

How would I know when you receive the payment?

Once the funds have been received via wire transfer, a confirmation of payment will be sent to you. This is when shipping/pickup arrangements should be made. Your online account will display an updated copy of the paid invoice.

DELIVERY

How and where can I pick up my item?

Buyer is responsible for equipment shipping/pick up arrangements from/at advertised branch once it is paid for in full. An invoice will be provided to you when payment is received, so please keep a copy of your paid invoice). A copy of the invoices must be presented before loading and/or removal of any equipment. Equipment must be picked up within 10 business days as Toromont may, at its discretion, assess storage fees.

If I cannot pick up my equipment, can I send somebody else?

If you are arranging a 3rd party to collect your purchases, please provide them with this information and have them schedule the pick-up appointment at their convenience.

WARRANTY AND RETURNS

Is there a warranty on used equipment?

Not all equipment comes with a warranty, see in the detailed listing of the equipment if a warranty is offered. For example, equipment that is Cat Certified Used comes with a one-year warranty. 

Additional warranty may also be offered at additional cost, ask your representative.

What is the refund/return policy?

All sales are final once your final payment is processed.

Am I able to export my item(s), and what documentation do you provide?

Most equipment can be exported but is subject to import regulations of the destination country. We recommend you contact a Toromont Equip representative at 1-833-953-7847 for information on shipping assets across borders, continents, and oceans, quickly and efficiently. 

Toromont will provide the Paid in Full invoice to facilitate shipping (in the US we can also provide a letter to US Customs stating the item is free & clear, and not stolen). If you are seeking a tax exemption for export, you will need to ensure you hire a 3rd party licensed common carrier who can provide a valid Bill of Lading.
